UbisoftUbisoft is reportedly looking for investors for a new business entity that will manage some of its most valuable game IPs, including the Assassins Creed series and Rainbow Six.According to sources ofBloomberg who are familiar with the deal, the company has reached out to potential backers, including Chinese gaming giant Tencent, which is the second largest shareholder following the Guillemots, to bid by the end of this month. It is said that the value of this new entity could be higher than that of Ubisoft itself.News regarding this new entity first came in January, shortly after their negotiations regarding the buyout seemed to have been stopped. The move is purportedly intended to boost the troubled studios value, which has dropped by around 44% over the past year. At that time, Bloomberg reported that Tencent and the Guillemots were evaluating which assets to include, as the former would like to own a stake in the venture and gain greater control over some of Ubisofts IPs.This week might be normal for most of us but critical for Ubisoft as Assassins Creed Shadows, which the company is confident in releasing without another delay, is coming this Thursday. Will it maintain the strong sales momentum of pre-order scores closer to Assassins Creed Odyssey, the second most successful entry in the franchise, and could it harvest the desired commercial and sales successes? We could probably get to know the answer very soon.Dont forget to join our 80 Level Talent platformand ournew Discord server, follow us onInstagram,Twitter,LinkedIn,Telegram,TikTok, andThreads, where we share breakdowns, the latest news, awesome artworks, and more.Source link The post Ubisoft Reportedly Asked Backers To Bid For New Entity That Will Own Its Core IPs appeared first on CG SHARES.
