The newly finished Wanda is a single-level structure that can accommodate up to four people, albeit snugly. It boasts a durable exterior built to withstand the elements and derives its energy from a solar panel array installed on the roof. Developed by Australias Tiny Solar Homes, the Wanda is constructed on a triple-axle trailer and measures 8.4 meters (27 feet) in length. While it is smaller compared to North American tiny houses like the Tellico, it is not as compact as European models such as the Cardabelle. The Wanda features a robust aluminum finish and includes an outdoor shower.Designer: Tiny Solar HomesThe interior is accessible through a large double glass door, connecting the home to the outdoors. This entrance leads to a bright living room, enhanced by ample glazing. The living area includes a sofa bed that can sleep two people, a wall-mounted TV, and concealed speakers embedded in the walls that can be used with the TV or a sound system. Adjacent to the living room is the kitchen, which is impressively equipped for a home of this size. It features abundant cabinetry, an induction cooktop, an oven, a full-size refrigerator/freezer, and a compact drawer-style dishwasher. The bathroom is conveniently located nearby and is equipped with a shower, a vanity sink, and a flushing toilet, ensuring all essential facilities are at hand. There is a compact laundry area within the bathroom that includes a washer/dryer unit, providing convenient laundry solutions within the home. On the opposite side of the tiny house from the bathroom is the bedroom. Owing to the homes single-level layout, the bedroom benefits from ample headroom, allowing occupants to stand comfortably upright. This space is thoughtfully designed with integrated storage solutions to maximize utility and features a queen-sized bed for a restful nights sleep. The bedroom is also enhanced by generous glazing, including a large window with louvers, which allows for plenty of natural light and offers a pleasant view of the surroundings. As previously mentioned, Wanda is equipped with an off-the-grid package, making it ideal for sustainable living. This package includes a solar panel array installed on the roof, which is connected to a substantial 10.2 kWh battery storage system. This setup ensures that the house can operate independently of traditional power sources. For those who require even more energy storage, the battery system can be upgraded to accommodate greater power needs.Several other optional extras allow for further customization of the Wanda. Buyers have the opportunity to select from a variety of finishes and materials to personalize the interior and exterior aesthetic of the home according to their preferences. An extra downstairs bedroom can be added as well. The house can be fitted with either a composting or incinerating toilet if preferred. The post Sustainable Living Is Made Easy & Accessible With This Tiny & Sturdy Solar-Powered Home first appeared on Yanko Design.
