In the artwork, the creator visualized a 3D model of a famous wristwatch as a mathematical object, the Mbius strip. The creator took the 3D prop of the Junghans Max Bill Automatic watch, designed by Swiss Artist and Designer Max Bill, and turned it into the renowned loop of Mbius, a surface formed by attaching the ends of a strip together with a half-twist. The result is a mesmerizing, mind-blowing animation. At first glance, it looks like a regular visualization of a watch that can be used for commercials, but if you take a closer look, you will notice the peculiarity. Interestingly, as the Mbius is a real object used in constructing conveyor belt systems, theoretically, you can recreate the visualization in real life. The animation was made using Houdini, the go-to software for creating fantasy visual effects.
