Back when it was first released, it looked simple, as it only had a couple of items. However, as Epic Games kept releasing more cosmetics, as well as more different types of them, the in-game shop evolved. Now, the game developer is ready to make even more changes to it.The upcoming changes will mostly affect the Festival part of the shop, and here is everything that Epic has revealed about them.New Item Shop changes will mostly affect Fortnite Jam TracksBack in December 2023, Epic added many new modes to Fortnite, including Festival and Rocket Racing. All of this new content resulted in an expanded Item Shop, which needed to accommodate new cosmetics, from vehicles to Jam Tracks and instruments. The shop has stayed more or less the same, receiving only design changes since then. However, Epic will now change its schedule as well.Generally, Jam Tracks are released on Thursdays. This week was different, though, with one new track coming on Tuesday, while another one arrived on Friday. The game developer clarified that this is not a bug, but rather a result of upcoming changes.Fortnite Jam Tracks will have a different release schedule in the Item Shop. Image by VideoGamerAnd while weve historically released new Jam Tracks every Thursday, were experimenting with a more flexible release schedule these days, Epic posted on X (formerly Twitter). Furthermore, the game creator reduced the number of Jam Tracks available in favor of a more curated approach. Finally, the development team is looking for more ways to use the Jam Tracks. The latest season brought so-called Moments, allowing players to play their music while jumping out of the bus or after winning a match. We can expect more similar features in the future, as Epic will find a way to make tracks even more valuable.
