The engineering team is globally distributed, and currently spans 6 countries; despite this, we are a close-knit team and make it work, taking everybodys needs into consideration.What does a typical week look like here?Here are some of the tasks you can expect to work on in a given week:Enhancing existing features based on internal and customer feedbackOptimizing pages, flows and performance to increase conversion and retentionTroubleshooting and fixing bugsDesigning, planning and building new features from the ground upWriting automated testsGiving and responding to code reviewsAssisting with backlog refinementAttending retrospectives and planning sessionsHelping us meet our non-functional goals (performance, security, etc)Conducting technical and functional spikesWhats the tech stack?Our main web-application is built on Zend Framework, with server-side rendered templates, MySQL for data persistence, and jQuery for frontend behaviour. We are increasingly moving towards an API-first design, and make heavy use of Symfony components within our existing ecosystem.
