While the Nintendo Switch 2 comes with a host of improvements over its predecessor, Nintendo doesnt seem keen on wanting to change too much of the consoles UI. As spotted by ResetEra user Truno, it looks like the main home screen UI on the Switch 2 will be nearly identical to what we got with the Switch. This means that games will once more take center stage in the home screen in a row of squares, with more options for the system, including controller settings, general settings and the Nintendo eShop, being available through smaller circular tiles under the games. In terms of themes, the Switch 2 will seemingly once again feature only Basic White and Basic Black themes. The only thing in the Switch 2s UI that is setting it apart from its predecessor, aside from the fact that the UI has many finer details and higher resolution glyphs and icons, is the fact that the border indicating the players selection is now much more colourful. In contrast, the original Switch UI used a darker border to signify a players selection. The Switch 2 will be coming to stores on June 5.
