With a price of $449.99 RRP for just the console, there is a high possibility that the hardware could cost more when it launched in the United States.In a statement to IGN, Nintendo explaineed that the consoles release date of June 5, 2025 is unchanged as the new hardware releases worldwide. However, there is a chance that the machine will cost substantially more than expected in North America.Pre-orders for Nintendo Switch 2 in the U.S. will not start April 9, 2025 in order to assess the potential impact of tariffs and evolving market conditions, the company said in the statement. Nintendo will update timing at a later date.
