Last week, I was at Intels Vision conference at the Virgin Hotel in Las Vegas. While the venue was a bit problematic, the content was solid and showcased an empowered Intel that now needs to address some errors my old friend Pat Gelsinger made as CEO. These include turning the office of the CTO back into a visionary organization, empowering the CMO, adequately funding marketing (while fixing MDF), and ending the cycle of layoffs that has disrupted operational stability.I should point out that I remain impressed with Intels employees, who have weathered the prior storms and still performed in the face of this adversity.
