As expected, AMD has refreshed its Dragon Range mobile CPU lineup, which was launched as the Ryzen 7000HX series almost two years ago. Today, the lineup is being refreshed under the Ryzen 8000HX CPU family and features the same Zen 4 core architecture, which delivers superb efficiency and performance.

The flagship SKU within the lineup is the AMD Ryzen 9 8945HX, which features 16 cores, 32 threads, 80 MB of cache, up to 5.4 GHz clocks, and a configurable TDP rated at 55- 75W. The rest of the line includes the 16-core Ryzen 9 8940HX, the 12-core Ryzen 7 8840HX, and the 8-core Ryzen 7 8745HX.
