I'm loving the story and visual design, but it's not a game I'm excited to actually play. There's no sidequests, all the combat is regulated to small arenas with a handful of enemies. This week I was really not feeling it and had more interest to play my backlog instead. With early access the developer conditioned me to wait, so now I will probably just wait for a sale. It's exactly what it's trying to be and it's fucking nailing it. It's hard to convey really how incredible the package of theme, visual, and sound this game has. Also the characters are genuinely fantastic. I love all of them so far. It's also dawned on me, there's phrases and feelings of emotions I've heard/gotten out of the first few chapters in this game that I don't think any other game has ever made me feel. That's more of a minority experience really. Also performance on PC is stellar for me.
