Thanks!  luca Member Oct 25, 2017 19,186 I expect this season to be subpar since I didn't like the first season much compared to - yes, the game - and it'll probably be the same case this season. But I'll be tuning in weekly just cause TLOUII is my favorite game of all time and I want it to be good on its own so I can recommend casuals experience this story.   poklane Member Oct 25, 2017 31,605 the Netherlands Main hope/request I have for this season or season 3 is to at least get a good chunk of content of Tommy in Seattle. It's obvious why we didn't really get that in the game, but I think for the show you can easily show some of Tommy's activities in Seattle from his point of view. Also, if we're assuming they end if at the theater, I do wonder if there's a possibility that we do get the Abby vs Ellie fight already. Ending the season with Abby threatening to shoot Ellie is okay, but I think ending it with Tommy "dead" and Ellie & Dina beaten up could be a great way to end it too.  Mzo Member Nov 30, 2017 1,397 I'm interested to see if they decide to still go with towering wooden structures creating narrow bridges between skyscrapers. It was such a leap for me when I saw it in game, I can't imagine most people will be like yeah, they made those sure.   Zebesian-X Member Dec 3, 2018 24,835 The Last of Us season 2 has one of the best TV episodes of the century so far — and the rest is pretty good too HBO's prestige mushroom-zombie show picks up five years after Joel's massacre in Salt Lake City. But does its second season live up to the GOAT status of the first? www.gq-magazine.co.uk GQ hyping the fuck out of Mark Mylod's episode, comparing it to a GoT Battle Episode (not really spoilers, but marked for anyone that wants to go in totally blind): Without crossing too many red spoiler lines, it is early in the season that Jackson finds itself under threat. What follows is an episode long extended set-piece in which the town is assaulted by the horde — towering bloaters, runners, clickers, you name it — evoking the biggest, most visceral and goriest battles from the peak of HBO's flagship fantasy series. Explosive barrels, flamethrowers, clicker-hungry dogs and enough ammunition to arm a small state are deployed in defence of the settlement; it's the sort of bicep-flexing episode you watch and think, "Ah, so this is where half of the budget went". Not that it's all about the flashy effects and violence. The episode has clear emotional stakes, and you care about the outcomes for almost all involved — even the peripheral characters we might've only momentarily glimpsed in prior scenes. The actors across the ensemble put in series-best work, with masterful direction from Succession's Mark Mylod, who deftly weaves together the episode's most emotional and action-heavy beats. Altogether, it's the certain Emmy play — sure to go down as a TV all-timer, and waxed poetic about in the same way as season one standout "Long, Long Time". I feel this season is going to mash two of Ellie's flashbacks into one episode, with the writers deferring to and favoring the museum over the motel. If the season ends where the reviews are suggesting, it's going to be imperative that they move ahead with the events of Ellie's day 3 in order to end it on their season 2 cliffhanger.  rama_ Member Jul 30, 2024 476 Can't wait for this! I kinda assumed it'd be Episode 1 this whole time. Unless we do some of the full flashback stuff all in Ep1, there's not that much that happens to really justify pushing it all off until the end of Episode 2. And then they wouldn't leave until a bit into Episode 3? Well, I trust them to know what they're doing, of course.   ket Member Jul 27, 2018 14,751 Ashes of Dreams said: Hmm, so people think it's happening at the end of Episode 2? Joel asking Dina "but... what did I do?" didn't sit right with me, especially if this is after they've been estranged for a while. He knows what he did by that point in the story and he's just giving her space. I'll have to wait for the context for that, though.   Leeness Member Oct 27, 2017 10,404 Gonna wait a bit and sub to Crave in May, I think.
