Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection Scores A New Switch Update
Subscribe to Nintendo Life on YouTube808kUpdate [Thu 17th Apr 2025, 12:30am]: As promised, Capcom has now rolled out its new title update for the Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection on the Switch and multiple other platforms. It should auto-update next time you boot it up, or you can do it manually from the Switch's Home Menu.

New Features
All Titles- Added Versus Mode.
About Versus Mode
Fight in offline matches against a second player or the CPU.
Match rules can changed in the versus menu of each game.
Museum > Music- Added four new songs.
Museum > Gallery- Added a new piece of artwork.
X-Men vs. Street Fighter
- Added the ability to switch between game versions.
Versions 961023, 964001, and 960910 are available.
Note: 961023 will be used for casual and ranked matches.
Marvel vs. Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes
- Added a resolution setting.
About Resolution
This setting increases the visual quality of in-game characters, background objects, and UI elements.
Note: PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One versions have the following resolution options available: original and x2.
Steam version has the following resolution options available: original, x2, x3, and x4.
- Added random character selection.
By holding a single direction before selecting a character, your character will be selected at random.
In some slightly related news, Capcom has shared a trailer on YouTube for the Capcom Fighting Collection 2 physical comic.Original Story: Capcom's second fighting collection is just around the corner, but ahead of this it's actually announced a title update for the Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection.
It will be arriving this week on 16th April 2025 and comes with a bunch of additional features - adding resolution options, offline versus, quality-of-life enhancements, and much more. You can see the full patch notes below:

Marvel vs Capcom: Fighting Collection changes
Play Versus Mode in all fighting title! Battle to your heart's content
Menus during online play can now be opened with a long press to avoid accidental inputs
Reset the game directly from the pause menu
