Good news that the console and game prices remain the same.  dallow_bg Member Oct 28, 2017 11,661 texas I see the higher prices on the accessories. Makes sense.   PlanetSmasher The Abominable Showman Member Oct 25, 2017 131,212 Good for Nintendo. It probably won't last, but it's good that they're biting the bullet for now.   Kouriozan Member Oct 25, 2017 24,388 Good, happy for NA to finally be able to pre-order, haha. « At launch, the price for Nintendo Switch 2 in the U.S. will remain as announced » So yeah, we don't know what will happen, if you want one you'd better get it early.  Allyougame Member Oct 25, 2017 950 Let's go!!   ap_2 Member Jan 23, 2021 1,738 So you can buy a Switch 2 at the announced price but the dock and pro controller are 300 bucks each? Am I reading that too uncharitably? Edit - OP was adjusted to include prices. Not too bad tbh.  Nahbac Member Nov 11, 2018 2,612 So accessories are going up to help offset tariffs and market volatility, while they are non-committal about the price of the Switch 2 being safe from future price increases after the initial launch.   Kevin360 OG Direct OP Member Oct 25, 2017 8,152 Excellent.   Aaronrules380 Avenger Oct 25, 2017 24,058 Given the talks about shifting all the vietnam units for US consumption, wondering if supply constraints will be much larger due to not being able to sell chinese produced units in the US with the tariffs   PaultheNerd Member Dec 25, 2018 871 Glad to finally have a date! The fact that they allude to prices possibly changing in the future will make this a bloodbath lol   Jumpman23 Member Nov 14, 2017 1,120 Same price? I have been waiting to lock in a preorder since the direct. Cannot Wait :) Also, only $5 adjustment to Pro controller? Not bad.   NotLiquid One Winged Slayer Member Oct 25, 2017 37,636 DrFunk said: This was expected since several of the accessories are still listed as China produced (case, charge grip, and AC adapter).  PlanetSmasher The Abominable Showman Member Oct 25, 2017 131,212 super-famicom said: Huh, no change? Things can and very likely will change if Trump continues to fuck around and Nintendo isn't able to tweak their supply chain safely.  itsrealfood Member Oct 25, 2017 259 Genuinely surprised at this and stoked for next week!   GasProblem Prophet of Truth Member Nov 18, 2017 3,396 Good luck with getting a preorder in US era!   Max|Payne Member Oct 27, 2017 9,589 Portugal Wow, finally some good news.   poptire Avatar Wrecking Crew The Fallen Oct 25, 2017 14,704 Knew they wouldn't jack up prices in their biggest market, even if we did deserve it lol   Spork4000 Avenger Oct 27, 2017 9,896 Get 'em while they're hot people, likely only getting more expensive over time.   Busaiku Teyvat Traveler Member Oct 25, 2017 17,358 LET'S GOOOOO   Rainer516 Member Oct 29, 2017 1,433 Is that the same date as when the Nintendo emails go out for direct purchases from them?   a Master Ninja Member Dec 11, 2017 5,600 $100 for another set of joycons hurts.   ragolliangatan Legendary Uncle Works at Nintendo Member Aug 31, 2019 6,108 good news for the U.S that console prices are remaining the same (for now)   Parshias Member Oct 25, 2017 1,733 Rainer516 said: Is that the same date as when the Nintendo emails go out for direct purchases from them? Get the product out there now while you can. God knows what the situation will look like afterwards (or even next week, lol) but all they can do is react to the current situation. Hopefully preorders aren't a bloodbath. Everyone will be expecting this to be more expensive by fall.  Lotus One Winged Slayer Member Oct 25, 2017 122,714 Dunno if I'm supposed to read more into them singling out Mario Kart and DK instead of them just saying the game prices are unaffected as a whole   GrimGrinningGuy Member Oct 25, 2017 9,326 Was hoping Nintendo would bump up their own website invites so I know if I gotta fight for this or not   asmith906 Member Oct 27, 2017 29,736 Those controller prices are brutal. It sounds like only the launch systems will stay the same price and they are leaving it open to a price increase in the future. That's about what I expected.   Jamrock User Member Jan 24, 2018 3,387 No intention to buy this until later this year, but by then it'll cost like 1grand.   RoninChaos Member Oct 26, 2017 8,965 $95 for joycons and $85 for a pro controller. Lmao oh my god. So many of yall are gonna be like "LETS GO!" and "ITS ON!" That shit must be like a bat signal for Nintendo and other companies to know it's okay to gouge you. And so many people are gonna flood the stores to get anything cause of tariffs. Lol what a shit show.  Televoid Uncle Works at Nintendo Member Nov 28, 2024 1,305 DrFunk said: So they're eating the price of the console and games atm, but adjusting all the accessories based on each tariff situation. And if the situation goes on, price increases by the fall/holiday to add a sense of FOMO early on. That's definitely a way to deal with this sort of thing, but again this whole thing is not their fault.  pulsemyne Member Oct 30, 2017 3,032 Looks like they are prepared to eat shit on the console price and pass it on to accessories. A sensible move.   Freelance Brian Member Oct 25, 2017 2,134 Imran said: I guess I was wrong, they would announce it on a Friday. Click to expand... Click to shrink...
