Persona 4 Remake may be announced soon. Domain name updated today. Possibly within a week based on past history for other games
nsilvias Member Oct 25, 2017 29,552 i would saved it for sgf but maybe theres a sony show coming soon. i think theres a rumored one but maybe that was fake since biblikun said it was bullshit that they were using his name in the leak On March 20, 2025, it was discovered that Atlus had potentially registered a Persona 4 Remake domain name called "P4RE.JP." This domain name has been updated today, on April 21, 2025. The update to the P4RE website domain is similar to updates for previous Persona domains shortly before their related games were announced: a move to owned nameservers instead of the Onamae (Japanese domain registrar) nameservers for the generic landing page. The website currently returns an error, being unable to be retrieved on the front-end. Unlike previous domain updates, however, this one does not feature an indicated address for the domain's host. Given the trends of Atlus domain names being updated shortly before a reveal, this would normally mean that a Persona 4 remake would be announced imminently. This is contingent on the legitimacy of the actual domain, and whether or not it's an official, Atlus domain name for such a project. Click to expand... Click to shrink... The Answer is a simple post-game expansion type of thing. It's "easy" to just charge extra for it post-launch. Golden fundamentally changes the entire game. Surely you can't do the same thing here? The gap between Persona 3 and 4 on PS2 was only two years. Not to downplay the work involved, but if they started around when P3Reload went gold (Or a bit before that, with a 2nd team), a similar two year gap isn't exactly unreasonable, following the existing design-documentation of the original Persona 4, and being able to leverage some of the work done for P3Reload as well (As the original Persona 4 itself did with Persona 3). Atlus's teams aren't greenhorns to HD development anymore.  BK0X Shinra Employee Member Oct 28, 2017 930 I'm a bit excited for it, but honestly, P4G was already perfect. I don't really feel like it needs a remake. I've spent so many hours in it, and going back for a fourth time feels tough.... unless they introduce some meaningful upgrades or fresh, brand-new content.   bunkitz Brave Little Spark Moderator Oct 28, 2017 15,913 Souji Seta comeback before even P6. Click to expand... Click to shrink... Honestly going to disagree. Persona has become very BRAND™-driven, and remakes (And the various 3/4/5 spinoffs) like this leverage existing Brand-Power. I'd wager a significant amount of the time being spent around Persona 6's development is some significant focus-testing of characters and themes to create a distinct and strong brand-identity for it that they can milk via Spinoffs, Multimedia, and Merchandise for as many years to come as they have 3, 4, and 5. By the time Persona 7 is a thing, they might STILL be milking Persona 3. Persona honestly is a lot like Gundam at this point, where the "Flagship" media is really primarily a vehicle with which to sell even more stuff to superfans.  Puffins Member Nov 1, 2024 269 Lotus said: That would be ideal, still crazy Reload AND the expansion were on Game Pass Day 1 Click to expand... The credits are absolutely puny for a modern HD game, like sub-astrobot tier. https://www.mobygames.com/game/216878/persona-3-reload/credits/playstation-5/ I doubt P3R cost much to make. P4R is probably going to cost even less. They're not exactly losing much when it comes to Xbox sales either. mute said: Hope the original OST makes it in this time Click to expand... So, I'm a Persona novice, I'm admitting that up front, but from my perspective: I kinda disagree. Earlier this year I Platinum'd P3R and I absolutely loved it. I dove straight into P4G right after, and while I love the story and characters, it just really feels dated (especially right after playing P3R), IMHO. I don't mind you being a novice at all. I really hope you end up loving the series as much as I did. I'm not sure what feels dated to you, are you thinking mostly about the graphics and UI? That's probably the only thing I'd call "dated", but everything else still holds up beautifully even now! (Unlike P3, which definitely needed a remake!) But if the "dated" presentation makes it hard for you to enjoy P4G, then I totally understand. Hopefully, the remake will make it more accessible for you. P4G is definitely my favorite in the series, and I hope you'd enjoy it as much as I did.  mute ▲ Legend ▲ Member Oct 25, 2017 29,019 nsilvias said: to keep the persona concerts sounding fresh for another decade Click to expand...
