F1 25 brings back popular Braking Point mode – here's everything you need to know

We've seen how My Team is getting a 2.0 revamp, for example, as well as the incredible lengths the team at Codemasters are going to in order to make every moment feel just like the real thing.This time around, we can tell you all about how the game's returning story mode, Braking Point, will mix things up after its hiatus last year, as well as a little more about the integration with Brad Pitt's racing team from the upcoming F1 movie.‌With the game launching at the tail end of next month, here's all you need to know about the latest chapter in the Konnersport tale.Article continues belowIf you bemoaned the lack of Braking Point last year, you weren't alone, but EA and Codemasters have seemingly spent plenty of time tuning things up.Now finding its stride, the Konnersport team is now competing for the title rather than being an also-ran, and that brings plenty of pressure for its drivers.‌In fact, in order to help shoulder that burden players will be able to switch between each racer, and each will have different objectives.After fan complaints that there wasn't a whole lot of flexibility in Braking Point, EA confirmed in a behind closed doors presentation that there will be an alternative ending, which means you'll want to replay things.Konnersport are now vying for titles(Image: EA)‌Making that even more enticing is an additional difficulty setting (now with four options up from three), plus the ability to roll into Career Mode with Konnersport.“We’ve watched Braking Point’s story evolve over the past two chapters, and we’re excited for players to take Aiden, Callie, and Devon’s journey into their own hands as Championship contenders,” Gavin Cooper, Creative Director for F1 25 explained via press release.‌“Knowing how much players cherish these characters, we’ve extended the Konnersport experience to other modes so they can continue to shape the team’s future. We're enabling players to take Konnersport into My Team and Driver Career, allowing them to create new storylines as they go up against this season's competitive grid”.Also available for career mode is the APXGP team from Brad Pitt's upcoming F1 movie, and post-launch Codemasters is promising a series of live service gameplay chapters inspired by the movie.Drivers now have more realistic lip-syncing and facial expressions(Image: EA)‌Aside from the huge visual improvement we discussed last week, the game is also utilising NVIDIA's Audio2Face technology to offer more accurate facial animation.This manifests in the "Meet The Press" moments that will now see your racer face the camera, with improved lip sync and realism.Expect fresh twists and turns in the story(Image: EA)‌Konnersport will also gain a new racer, with Callie Mayer. She's the first woman to win the F2 Championship, setting up additional drama within the Braking Point story.In our presentation, we were promised Konnersport would be "thrown into chaos", and we can't wait to see what that looks like.Braking Point is back, and it might just be more dramatic than ever.
