Reflecting that acclaim, on the day of its release, the game also attracted quite the sizeable playerbase. As per SteamDB, on Thursday, the day of its release, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 saw a peak of 51,922 concurrent players on Steam. That means the game has already exceeded the all-time Steam concurrent player peaks of several major recent RPG releases, including the likes of Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth (46,161), Persona 3 Reload (45,002), Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake (45,357), and Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth (40,564).
