Fucking consumers in this economy doesn't seem like a good strategy.  Mivey Member Oct 25, 2017 20,432 is this similar to Argentina, where Western publishers are just setting it to the 60/70$ equivalent to avoid cheap imports, without any care for the actual local market. I wonder at that point why they even offer the games there if you set prices that 99% of your customers absolutely can't afford.  FantasticToma Member Sep 21, 2024 2,084 Germany We need Steamdeck 2 and PS6 Portable sooner rather than later for some price competition.   carlosrso Member Oct 27, 2017 1,002 Ipatinga, Brazil Well. 800USD console and 90USD games. The PS6 Portable on the other hand, yeah, that'd be competition.   dalq Member Feb 13, 2018 1,591 lmao MKW is literally 33% of Brasil minimum wage. Video games are a expensive hobby everywhere, in Brazil (and in Latin America overall), they are a luxury product. Last year, the dollar price in Brazil reached its highest value in history (R$ 6,2672). If we take MKW price conversion as a reference you have: $79.99 x R$6,2672 = R$501.31. Even though the dollar price is lower now, Nintendo definitely accounted that for the game prices calculation. And no, Nintendo don't care about regional pricing, they proved time and time again that they don't care about presence if they can't make money. If you complain, Mr. Bowser has a answer for you: buy a Switch 1.
