The title, slated for a Fall 2025 release, has been built on the same engine that powers the Farming Simulator franchise – the GIANTS Engine – which the company touts is mod-friendly and allow the game to be more realistic in its gameplay. The trailer puts quite a bit of emphasis on the game’s simulation-styled racing gameplay, even going as far as showing a player experiencing the game with the use of an elaborate rig featuring multiple monitors and quite a few high-end peripherals that emulate in-game driving with real-world feedback. At launch, Project Motor Racing will include more than 70 vehicles to choose from between 10 racing classes. These vehicles can be taken out for laps across 27 different track layouts. The game will include a single-player Career mode, as well as online racing mods where players can compete for a spot on leaderboards. The game will also feature Full Race Weekends where several players can come together to partake in long races. The core physics of the game will be powered by a new physics engine that has been built from the ground up, running on top of the GIANTS Engine. The company describes the engine as being able to handle realism at 720 Hz, with natural, non-linear throttle controls. “This is the next gear for GIANTS Software: Moving forward, we will be recognized not only as the creators of Farming Simulator but also as the publisher of Project Motor Racing,” said CEO at GIANTS Software Christian Ammann in the press release. “Our strong collaboration with Straight4 gives me full confidence that we’ll deliver an exceptional experience for all sim racing enthusiasts!” This is not about driving,” said Straight4 Studios CEO Ian Bell. “It’s about racing. With our streamlined approach and what we consider to be the most authentic handling model we’ve ever created, Project Motor Racing is both a nod to our genre’s rich legacy and a big step into the next era of simulation.” Project Motor Racing will be coming to PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
