Our app helps families care for gravesites remotely through local service providers. We’re growing quickly and rebuilding our backend to handle payments, routing, and communication at scale.Your first project is to rebuild our Stripe sync engine. When payments fail or retry, it currently breaks everything - status updates, customer comms, even service delivery. You’ll fix that. Then we’ll build the rest together.What you’ll work on:- Stripe webhook handling (subscription updates, retries, failures)- Syncing payment data across admin panel, HubSpot, and our routing engine- Writing clean backend logic with clear fallbacks, retries, and logging- Collaborating directly with CTO and CPO- Future work: admin panel rebuild, route planner logic, keeper app, provider appOur tech stack includes:- Backend: Node.js (NestJS) with TypeScript- Database: PostgreSQL using MikroORM- Cloud: AWS (App Runner for Dockerized services, S3, VPC, RDS)- Payments: Stripe API + MobilePay Subscriptions API- Integrations: HubSpot, OptimoRoute, Henryflow- DevOps: Bitbucket CI/CD, Terraform- Other: Mapbox API (custom extensions), YOLOv8/SAM for AI-powered route planning and grave mappingHow we work:- Remote-first with async culture- Daily standups (morning CET), full autonomy, ship fast- Two-week sprints with tight scopes- Minimal tools (Slack, Jira, Figma Jam, Miro)Ideal candidate:- 5+ years backend experience (Node.js, TypeScript)- Hands-on Stripe integration experience- Can own a system from spec to production- Strong async communicator- Can start this week (or latest early next week)Process:- Apply via link- Interview with founding CPO + founding CTO- Start buildingBudget:$35–60/hour depending on experience.
