Nexon has revealed some exciting new features and content for the game’s numerical third chapter, along with a “first time” reward for the Season 3 battle pass. The new Descendant and more will be revealed during the upcoming PAX EAST livestream, and the chapter will come out in June. Before the new TFD episode arrives next month, there’s plenty of exciting new features confirmed for The First Descendant in May, including the long-awaited arrival of “jiggle physics”. Exciting new features coming to The First Descendant in May As part of the recent AMA on Discord that lasted from April 24th to the 30th, TFD_Director_Jooms confirmed a host of exciting new features that will join The First Descendant before the end of May. Here we will cover the confirmed upcoming arrivals. Specifically for the May 22nd update, there will be the “new Abyss VIB, Icemaden”. As per Jooms, this boss is designed to offer “engaging combat” while not getting “defeated in just one second,” and it will also narrow the “kill-time gap between gun dealers and skill dealers”. This will be accompanied by “improvements to enhance the efficiency of skill-based damage dealers in Normal Void Erosion Purge,” although no specifics were provided. The biggest new feature set to arrive in the May 22nd update is a Party Finder. This will provide fans a better matchmaking experience as “Players will be able to set preferred tags [to] recruit party members, and the system will recommend players with similar tags”. The goal of this system is to “support those who wish to enjoy party play by making it easier to find companions through detailed settings”. Once it’s added, “Players will be able to choose either location as their default teleport destination”. Jooms said “This feature is scheduled for the May patch,” which presumably means May 22nd. Lastly, during the AMA, Jooms reaffirmed to everyone asking that yes, “jiggle physics” are still on course to come out in the “May update”. This will only be for female Descendants, and previously Nexon discussed adding it with appropriate options. No specific date was provided for “jiggle physics,” but, again, the “May update” presumably means May 22nd. This will take place on May 11th at 9AM PT/12PM ET/5PM BST.
