The Arthur Erickson Foundation has announced the world premiere of Arthur Erickson: Design in Mind, a free exhibition running until the end of this month.
The immersive pop-up exhibition will run from now until May 30, 2025, at Arthur Erickson Place in Vancouver. This experience marks the culmination of the AE100 Centennial Celebration, a year-long series of events honouring the life and work of architect Arthur Erickson.
Through photography and an immersive video, this exhibition reveals how Erickson’s connection to nature, his love of art, and bold ideas about design continue to inspire how society lives, works, and experiences the world.
Visitors are invited to discover Erickson’s architectural legacy in a 270-degree digital presentation. The core principles that guided his visionary designs—site, light, cadence, and space—are brought to life in a series of floor-to-ceiling banners in the lobby of the Arthur Erickson Place, itself a groundbreaking design.
The Arthur Erickson Foundation seeks to honour Arthur Erickson’s legacy of architectural works and writings by advancing education and inspiring future generations through design thinking, and championing the conservation of Erickson’s architectural heritage. This exhibition serves as a testament to his enduring influence on Canadian architecture and culture.
