Grand Theft Auto 6’s Second Trailer Gets More Than 75 Million Views in One Day
News Grand Theft Auto 6’s Second Trailer Gets More Than 75 Million Views in One Day At the time of publishing, the viewer count for the latest GTA 6 trailer is quite close to hitting 77 million on YouTube alone. Posted By Joelle Daniels | On 07th, May. 2025 The recent release of the second trailer for Grand Theft Auto 6 has gone on to prove just how hotly anticipated the open-world game is turning out to be. Just a day after going live, the trailer has already accumulated more than 75 million views, and at the time of publishing is closing in on 76 million views. To be more precise, at the time of publishing, the view count for the second trailer of Grand Theft Auto 6 sits at 76,758,813 on YouTube. Along with this, the trailer has also accrued more than 4.7 million likes. The comments section isn’t far behind either, weighing in at 417,822 comments on YouTube alone. Considering these figures are only taking YouTube into account, the number can be considered to be understated, since the trailer also likely got plenty of views on social media platforms like X and Facebook. For some additional context about these figures, the first trailer for Grand Theft Auto 6, released all the way back in December 2023, currently sits at a view count of 254,735,738 views on YouTube. It also has more than 12 million likes, as well as over a million comments. It is worth noting that these count might be slightly inflated since there are several comments from those that have just watched the latest trailer and went back to watch the first one. The second trailer gave us a much greater look at the game’s primary setting of Vice City than the first one did, including protagonists Jason and Lucia, as well as other characters that players will likely get to interact with throughout their time with the game. While we didn’t get anything in terms of gameplay, the trailer did seem to include in-engine footage running at what looks like a frame rate of 30 FPS. More details about how well the game runs on the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S will likely be revealed as we get closer to the May 26, 2026 release date. The main story of Grand Theft Auto 6 will seemingly involve Jason and Lucia taking part in what originally appeared to be an easy score, but ultimately starts going horribly wrong. The trailer indicated that this culminates in a larger conspiracy that would include several characters, and potentially even the local law enforcement agencies. Alongside the trailer, Rockstar also revealed more details in general about the game, including the fact that Vice City won’t be the only region available to explore. According to the official Grand Theft Auto 6 website, the game will also feature neighbouring areas in the fictional state of Leonida, which is based on the real-world Florida. Among the places that players will get to visit are the Grassrivers wetlands, Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia, and Mount Kalaga National Park. Grand Theft Auto 6 is currently in development for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. While series tradition would dictate that a PC verison might also come along at a later date, neither Rockstar nor Take-Two Interactive have made any definitive announcements about a port so far.
