F1 25 Driver Ratings revealed as Verstappen leads chasing pack but where's Hamilton?

We've already covered how My Team 2.0 will shake up the game in a big way, while the newly-scanned tracks are ready to take our breath away, too.It's also bringing back Braking Point after an absence last year, and while Brad Pitt's racing team from the upcoming F1 movie are set to debut, there's the small matter of Driver Ratings for the existing stars to look forward to yet.‌“Every year our Driver Ratings spark vibrant discussions both among fans and within the paddock, and this year won’t be any different,” said Lee Mather, Senior Creative Director at Codemasters via press release.‌“This season is shaping up to be incredibly exciting, with several drivers emerging as title contenders. Dynamic ratings updates throughout the season will reflect the thrilling on-track developments, ensuring the game mirrors the intensity of the Championship battle.”So, without further ado, let's get to the launch ratings.Ready for another season?(Image: EA)Article continues belowAccording to Codemasters, ratings are calculated using a variety of data points. Historic data, recent performances, and expert analysis are all included, giving drivers four categories and an overall stat.Here are the stats, straight from the dev team:As you can see, Red Bull's Verstappen is in the lead (pun intended), with a whopping 96 for Racecraft, which is defined as "The ability to work through the pack and finish in a higher position".‌Fernando Alonso tops the experience stat column with 99, which Codemasters says reflects "the number of race starts a driver has over the course of their career", while pace is "A mix of qualifying and lap times during race weekends, and how they stack up against their teammate in both categories". Verstappen tops that one, too.Charles Leclerc, in joint second overall, ranks top for Awareness, which the devs say is influenced by how clean the racer is.Surprisingly, the cover star for the Iconic Edition, Lewis Hamilton, is down in sixth.
