Personally, I'm still excited for the KOTOR remake because Saber Interactive's excellent World War Z & W40K: Space Marine 2 in recent years. But I don't think the game's eventual re-reveal can be as jaw dropping as those because of their significance (though I'd love to be wrong). There's stuff like Vanquish or TLOU or RE4/5/6 which lean kind of heavily on one or the other, and the actual attempts like Devils Third and Wanted: Dead are a bit of a mixed bag. One day we'll get the game that makes you feel like John Wick I guess. The big problem is that melee has to be very lethal or come with big iframes to justify doing it because otherwise you'll get shot out of your combo, meanwhile committing to ADS with highly aggressive melee enemies is also an exercise in frustration. For all the shit people gave it Forspoken could do this quite well I guess but the learning curve with that game isn't the most pleasant nor does the game really push you do use its mechanics to a great extent. Maybe the answer is big fuck off projectiles and big fuck off melee attacks that you can easily cancel out of with little committment. More of a focus on using projectiles to set up melee and vice versa. Not that I'd really care after the mediocre Dark Dawn, but a new Golden Sun maybe with a 2D-HD type of graphics could be good. They would need to actually give the game a FULL story this time, if they do another "Part 1 of 2!" then I'd skip it completely unless they guaranteed the sequel was coming before the first one released. Banjo Kazooie Remake is one I feel like gets talked about quite a bit. Would love a Spyro/Crash type graphical upgrade.
