Rossmonster Baja Trail LX is ultimate off-road, off-grid retractable hard-top camper for year-round expeditions
Hardcore outdoor enthusiasts would believe when I say that campervans have their own share of advantages, but when it comes to getting to that most amazing place at the end of the paved road, accessible by vehicle, they fall flat on their nose – not that they have one. Nose, is a prerequisite of a truck, which with a camper box on its back, can actually transform into that amazing home on wheels you can take to so many beautiful places well far and beyond the paved roads. Outpacing a range of such campers is the Baja Trail LX by Rossmonster. The Colorado-based company, which is known for building exceptional vehicles for outdoor exploration. Backed on a Ford F350 with 50-gallon diesel fuel tank offering up to 600 miles of range, the Baja camper is designed for off-road and off-the-grid adventures. Sitting on the bed 11.5 inches of off the ground, with Carli suspension, and upgraded wheels and tires to assist, it allows you to explore the uncharted terrain with more confidence than ever before. Designer: Rossmonster The fiberglass shell Baja Trail on the exterior makes provision for charging slot – to keep the towing EV charged – storage to haul your adventure or sporting gear along, and a fold out table to maybe install a portable BBQ grill and spend a nice afternoon with family under the sun. On the inside, the camper is filled with natural light and offers panoramic views through the large, awning style windows around its perimeter. The space is not only well lighted; it has a high 78-inch interior height wherein a 6-foot 5-inches tall person can stand upright easily. The Baja Trail XL – XL for luxury – is hard-walled pop-top camper with a top the retracts to create this extra space on the inside. Since the hard-top camper is stitched plush to the bed of the Ford truck, it has a well-insulated enclosure with heat and AC for year-round comfort, making the Baja Trail a capable all-season camper without a doubt. To ensure no lapse in the finesse and to separate the happening in the cabin and the camper, the pass-through is “insulated for a quiet ride, superior climate control, and easy access.” The long-term, self-sustainable living is ensured by 1000 AH Lithium Iron Phosphate battery, which stores power from 600W onboard solar panels, and is paired with 3000W invertor for backup power. The water requirement is taken care of by a 40-gallon fresh water tank. The interior of the Baja Trail XL is pretty spacious for its build, at the rear end is the seating area with nicely upholstered seating and a swiveling table, which turns from living and dinning area in the day to a two-person bed by night. The camper can easily accommodate four people, the remaining two of which can sleep in the cab-over-bed. The kitchen alongside is well equipped for preparing home-cooked meals. It has a two-burner induction cooktop sitting on a spacious countertop, a sink with faucet, and a mini fridge. Most exciting edition onboard is the full-size wet bath with a cassette toilet and a hot water shower. This ultimate camping ride for the wilderness starts at $379,984, what do you think?  The post Rossmonster Baja Trail LX is ultimate off-road, off-grid retractable hard-top camper for year-round expeditions first appeared on Yanko Design.
