Gearbox's Randy Pitchford Admits Borderlands 4 Might Follow Nintendo's New Pricing
When Nintendo announced price 80-90 euro for Mario Kart it was obvious that they went full evil. There is nothing "premium" about new Mario Kart, literally nothing, its still the exact same barebones 90's style power-up focused arcade racer. In the 90s on PC we had three new games like that every month because they are so easy and cheap to make, there was even Lego Racer which was free game for some time.So why Nintendo decided to slap super premium price on cheap product? Because they seen Mario Kart sells and they think if they know it will sell anyway they might as well turn price knob to 11.They dont care about anything but money now, so they are willing to milk fanboys dry. The obvious swan song was when they released "remake" of Mario vs Donkey Kong on switch for $60. Game that should be $10-$20 at most somehow is worth $60 according to nintendo just because its Mario. In the history books Nintendo will be seen as major reason why this industry died.
