Image credit: OAAThe Ontario Association of Architects (OAA) is calling on speakers who can contribute to discussions for in-classroom lectures and in-the-field experiential learning at the 2025 conference, as well as for online learning opportunities in the new year.The upcoming 2025 conference will be held at the Hotel Westin Ottawa, from May 14 to 16, 2025, and will focus on the architecture professions role in Reshaping Communities.The event aims to explore how places guide peoples behaviour, and how an evolving built environment can respond and reflect societal changes. The conference will also explore urban revitalization, adaptive reuse, inclusive design, Reconciliation, the intersection of the built and natural environments, and the professions ability to respond to new challenges and opportunities.TheContinuing Education Program highlights the associations dedication to promoting and increasing the knowledge, skill, and proficiency of its members. As a result, the OAA is seeking out Ontario architects as well as other experts and thought leaders outside the profession to propose ideas for lectures and online learning initiatives.From legal, code, or practice issues to project case studies, to putting a spotlight on advancements or best practices with design tools or building materials, this is an opportunity for speakers to share their expertise. All topics relevant to the architecture profession are welcome, including legal issues, project case studies, urban revitalization, inclusive design, and advancements in design tools.TheOAAs weeklyContinuing Education Webinar Seriesexplores varioustopics related to architecture, such as subjects dealing with climate actionandequity, diversity, and inclusion.
