Samsung Could Equip Galaxy S25 FE With Dimensity 9400 If Exynos 2400e Supply Falls Short, Delivering Enhanced Performance For A Budget-Friendly Device
Samsung has big product announcements lined up this year, especially with the promising upgrades it is determined to bring about, but one of the most anticipated devices seems to be the Galaxy S25 FE. The tech community is likely hooked on it because it is a budget-friendly phone with premium features. Since it is being referred to as excellent value for money, Samsung had to scale back on some of the elements in order to bring out the right balance between quality and value. Amidst the calculated compromises, a report now claims that the South Korean tech giant could be launched with a better chipset than previously expected. Samsung Galaxy S25 FE might be equipped with MediaTek's Dimensity 9400 chipset instead of the Exynos 2400e if supply constraints come up Samsung is working on its Galaxy S25 FE, which is expected to debut close to the year's end and has generally remained on the schedule for the company's fan edition models. The budget phone is gaining quite attention for the potential value it would offer. Previous reports seem to suggest that the upcoming model would be powered by Exynos 2400e, but a recent report claims otherwise. Although Samsung has had a history of using Exynos processors, this time around, it may be going in a different direction. A report now claims that Samsung is considering opting for MediaTek's Dimensity 9400 chipset instead of its in-house Exynos 2400e. The Dimensity 9400 is relatively more expensive since it is sourced through TSMC, making it higher-end than the one produced internally. Although a little costly, the chipset is a powerful 3nm chip that makes it significantly better than the previously used ones. The reason why the company might pivot in this direction is due to the limited supply of the Exynos 2400e chips, as Samsung could end up struggling with manufacturing enough to cover for the Galaxy S25 FE. While the production issue might seem like a setback, given the enhanced performance the Dimensity 9400 would be offering, it looks like it would eventually work out for the tech giant. The report, however, seems to emphasize that Samsung would still be pushing for the Exynos 2400e in the first place, but in case the company falls short, the Dimensity 9400 would be there to be the backup for the company. There seems to be a slim chance that Samsung would end up dealing with a shortage of in-house chips, given its constant push to prioritize using this for its Galaxy S25 FE model over external suppliers such as MediaTek. Even though there is a lesser chance of Samsung opting for the powerful 9400 chipset, even if this report stands true, the company would still not increase the price of the upcoming model since that takes away the whole point of an affordable device. It could turn out to be not in favor of the company, given how it constantly keeps on striving to maintain low costs and increase revenues. If the tech giant does end up using the Dimensity 9400, we could see a big performance boost, and it could end up being a major selling point of the phone. Deal of the Day
