Creating Beautiful Stylized Mountain Town Using Projection Mapping In Blender
For this stunning village hidden in the mountains, Faiz Azhar aka Kyokaz created the 3D base in Blender for a basic render and then took the render into his painting software to paint over it, enhancing the scene with stylized details. Then, he brought the painted image back into Blender and used UV projection mapping to apply it as a texture on the meshes. Any areas that didn't align properly, such as overlapping objects, were touched up with extra painting directly in Blender.Check out the final animated version, along with Kyokaz's original painting below:We also recommend checking out Kyokaz's beautifully detailed typewriter and radio unit we featured earlier and exploring some of his latest work:Visit his X/Twitter page for more great 3D art and join our 80 Level Talent platform and our new Discord server, follow us on Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Telegram, TikTok, and Threads, where we share breakdowns, the latest news, awesome artworks, and more.
