We've not seen all that much about Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra since it broke cover at GDC last year, with both Marvel and Skydance New Media having generally elected to stay in their lairs working away, aside from a few interviews with its main scribe, former Uncharted writer Amy Hennig.
Now, we've gotten some news, in the form of the game being delayed into early 2026.
So, not the news folks who're keen to dive into the the action and fight the Hydra in 1940s Paris as Captain America or Black Panther were hoping for, but news nontheless.

"We have an important update: Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra will now be launching in early 2026," reads a message from Marvel 1943's team put on on Skydance's socials.
"Taking this additional time will allow us to add more polish, and make sure we give you the best possible experience, and one that lives up to our vision," it continues, "We have some exciting things in store and look forward to sharing more soon!"

So, there you go.
Another game that may well have taken a bit of time to wait and see if GTA 6 would get its own delay - which it did - then picked a more firm launch point for its own game that's both better for it and comes with the bonus of not risking getting run over by Rockstar's behemoth.
We were intrigued by what we saw from the swanky Unreal Engine story trailer the Plaion-published game debuted with at its reveal last year, but that was before going a year and a bit without seeing any actual gameplay.
It could well still turn out to be a banger, though, especially given Hennig's pen credentials.
