Frank Lloyd Wright’s Hollyhock House may be closed to the public due to pending city budget cuts. As reported by the Los Angeles Times, cuts proposed by Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass could result in both the closure of the landmark and the loss of its UNESCO World Heritage Site designation, if the cuts are passed by the City Council.  The home, built between 1919 and 1921, was Frank Lloyd Wright’s first project in Los Angeles and blends Mayan, Japanese, and California influences.
