Neil Druckmann Confirms Producer Role on Unannounced Naughty Dog Project

Naughty Dog president Neil Druckmann is busy working on Intergalactic, a new sci-fi IP slated for PS5. However, in a new interview with Press X to Continue, he confirmed that he’s a producer for another title in development at the studio.
Druckmann also revealed that he got to “mentor and watch this other team,” providing feedback and acting “like the executive in the room.” He noted that jumping between projects “makes my job very exciting” and “always feeling fresh.”
Of course, there are numerous questions on what the project could be. Recent rumors indicated that Naughty Dog cancelled an unannounced single-player project helmed by Vinit Agarwal after shelving The Last of Online multiplayer title. However, another single-player game has reportedly been in the works for the past three years.
Allegedly directed by Shaun Escayg, who previously worked on Marvel’s Avengers, nothing is known about the project’s identity. With Druckmann previously touting several “ambitious, brand new” single-player titles in development at the studio, you have to wonder if he’s involved with Escayg’s project or something else entirely.
Meanwhile, Intergalactic lacks a release window and may not even launch in 2026. Stay tuned for updates.
