Image credit: OAAThe OAA is accepting submissions and nominations for its biennial awards program, which highlights excellence in built projects and recognizes achievements by members of the architectural profession.The Design Excellence category offers a platform to highlight projects that stand out for their innovation, sustainability, and overall excellence. Up to 10 awards will be chosen from a shortlist of finalists. All forms of built architecture created by OAA members, located anywhere in the world, completed since January 2020, and currently in use are eligible.The Service Awards provide an opportunity to honour both emerging and established professionals for their careers and contributions. Awards for which one can nominate a candidate include the Medal of Service, for exceptional service and leadership to the profession or to the public, the Lifetime Design Achievement, for a career-long commitment to the promotion and achievement of architectural design excellence, and Honour Roll, for influential members of the profession who are now deceased.Those who are interested can also nominate themselves for Best Emerging Practice, which celebrates the contribution of young firms that demonstrate a clear vision, well-articulated goals, and proven, effective strategies.The deadline to submit is Monday, January 19, 2026.
