BioWare itself hasnt done an awful lot to placateMass Effectfans on N7 Day (just as the studio said), but it looks like some significant news has emerged nonetheless. Back in 2021, it was reported that Amazon was in discussions regarding a TV show based onMass Effect, and that project, it sems, is now officially moving forward. As reported by Variety, aMass Effectseries is now officially in development at Amazon MGM Studios. Daniel Casey who is best know as the writer forF9: The Fast Saga(a.k.a.Fast and Furious 9) will serve as the shows writer and executive producer, and will be joined by fellow executive producers in the form of Karim Zreik (Daredevil, Jessica Jones) of the Cedar Tree Productions Banner, Ari Arad (Uncharted, Spider-Man, Spider-Verse), and BioWares Michael Gamble. Gamble is also the Project Director on the nextMass Effectgame.Details on the show itself, what elements of the games it will cover, or who we can expect it to feature in its cast are currently unknown, as youd expect, but after years of suggestions that aMass Effectadaptation could happen, it looks like its now finally officially been given the green light, so hopefully it wont be long before we get more concrete details.
