While HD2 has been absolutely fantastic, Arrowhead are not at all resting on their laurels as they have a lot of plans for the future. Not everything has been revealed, but a Helldivers 2 developer has guaranteed more mission types are on the way.Theres a lot to be excited about for HD2 judging by leaks that have yet to materialize. More weapons for the Illuminate have been uncovered through datamines, leaks have shown off a mysterious new weapon, and there are also old Dune weapons and armor speculated for a new Warbond.While leaks are a way of knowing whats potentially happening behind-the-scenes, Arrowhead has shared some of their plans for the imminent and far-off future. One of these plans includes extra activities for Helldivers 2 players to enjoy.More mission types are coming to Helldivers 2On the Helldivers Discord, Arrowhead community manager, Twinbeard, was asked if there is any news on new content, patches, reworks on the DSS this month or next.In response, Twinbeard posted, We almost never talk about upcoming content beforehand unless its already announced. He elaborated that Arrowhead are absolutely working on new content, but he didnt reveal exactly when stuff will arrive.Then, in response to a different user, Twinbeard said, I can almost guarantee that more mission types are coming, sooner or later.Image credit: Helldivers DiscordFinally, although the specifics of the new content and extra missions types havent been revealed, Twinbeard eased concerns that anything has been delayed due to issues with the DSS. The community manager shared, AFAIK no patch or upcoming content has been delayed because of the DSS launch.While its unclear what the extra mission types will involve, Arrowhead has shared more specific plans for what they are currently working on.
