The games recognized each year with nominations and awards tend to see boosts in sales, for instance, and that seems to be happening this year as well.Thats as per GamesIndustrys Christopher Dring, who recently took to Twitter to reveal that as per GSD detail, in Europe, sales forFinal Fantasy 7 Rebirthincreased by 268 percent week-on-week following it was nominated for seven categories (including Game of the Year) at The Game Awards earlier this month.Fellow finalists in the Game of the Year category also enjoyed sales increases, with Metaphor: ReFantaziojumping by 172 percent,Astro Botby 61 percent, andElden Ring which saw its expansion,Shadow of the Erdtree,nominated by 38 percent.Interestingly, Bloober Team and KonamisSilent Hill 2remake also saw a 43 percent week-on-week increase.
