With an extensive cinematic reveal trailer, CD Projekt RED revealed that the next instalment in the franchise will star Ciri as its new protagonist- but though weve known that Geralt wouldnt be the protagonist of newWitchertitles any longer for a while now, is he still going to have some role to play?As it turns out, he will. Doug Cockle, the voice actor of Geralt of Rivia, let slip earlier this year that he would be reprising his role as the old Witcher in the series next instalment, even if he wouldnt be returning as the protagonist this time. That has now been officially confirmed by CD Projekt RED in a statement to IGN.Geralt will appear in the game, but we dont want to spoil his role precisely.
