Rumoured The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remake Dev is Working on an Unannounced Unreal Engine 5 Remake
A remake ofThe Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivionhas been in the rumour mill for a while now, and more evidence continues to point to it actually being a real thing. Past reports have claimed that a remake of the title is in the works at Virtuos, with the studio allegedly using an Unreal Engine 5 pipeline to develop the title. Now, the LinkedIn profile of a Virtuous employee seems to be lending weight to those rumours as well. On his profile, Oleksii Moskovchenko whos a technical art director at Virtuos Shanghai studio claims that he is working on a currently unannounced remake built on Unreal Engine 5. He also claims the title will release for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC, suggesting that Microsoft is set to continue its string of multiplatform releases- which shouldnt come as a surprise at this point.Leaks in December claimed that Microsoft and Bethesda could be gearing up to announce theOblivionremake at the rumoured Xbox Developer Direct presentation planned for January, with a release set to follow sometime later this year itself. Stay tuned for more updates in the coming days.
