Alongside Mithrax having his entire multi-year character development ripped from him in a single mission, players are tired of Bungies constant attempts to give characters a redemption arc.Eramis, a treacherous villain that has been a constant cause of suffering in Destiny, has now been given their own redemption arc. Despite fans despising the character, the story has crowbarred in a forced redemption that fans have not sat well with.I would be okay with redemption arcs if they actually put in the work to earn it, one fan explained after finishing the new content. Eramis has not shown an ounce of introspection or changed behavior.Not every character needs a f*****g redemption arc, one particularly upset fan said. Especially one so viscerally hated by almost the entire community the story feels like its been ripped from a sh***y anime with 30-50 word long titles.Eramis redemption has been a particular sore point for long-returning fans of the game.
