Mangold wants to rely on Star Wars lore as little as possible in his prequel set in the distant past.The Star Wars movie would be taking place 25,000 years before any known Star Wars movies take place, Mangold said. Its an area and a playground that Ive always [wanted to explore] and that I was inspired by as a teenager. Two other films revealed at the celebration were a Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy-directed feature starring Daisy Ridleys Rey Skywalker and a movie from Lucasfilms Chief Creative Officer Dave Filoni. All three films are undated.
