Highlands and Islands Enterprise framework 2025-29
Teams selected for the maximum four-year framework will work alongside the economic development organisation which owns a total of 46 office and industrial buildings across the region and holds 134ha of development land spread over 30 locations.The framework is expected to involve a range of ad-hoc building consultancy services including surveys and condition schedules, condition surveys, planned preventative maintenance, the management of construction works, architectural design and the procurement of tenders.According to the brief: Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE) is an economic and community development agency for a region that covers more than half of Scotland. As part of their economic development function, HIE own a range of commercial properties and require Building Surveying Services to support this. A wide range of services are required, ranging from a few hours of advice to larger refurbishment projects.Founded in 1991, HIE is a development agency which invests in a range of capital projects intended to create business space for new enterprises. Austin-Smith:Lord won an earlier Highlands and Islands Enterprise competition to design a 7.5 million Life Science Innovation Centre in Inverness in 2020.Bids for inclusion on the latest framework will be evaluated 60 per cent on cost and 40 per cent on price.
