The Senior Devops Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and scaling the SimAI SaaS platform. The Senior Devops Engineer will use next-generation tools (kubernetes, aws, pulumi, terraform, python, bash). The Senior Devops Engineer uses problem-solving skills that will help us tackle complex issues centered around:scaling GPU and CPU computing resources as well as servicescreating new monitoring and alerting capabilitiessupporting SimAI R&D team efficiently and robustly deploy new services coming from state-of-the-art AI researchTo do this, The Senior Devops Engineer will collaborate with a team of experts who are, together, building the future of computer-assisted system design. In our team, autonomy is key. The Senior Devops Engineer will be tasked with end-to-end tasks from problem definition to implementation.Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerform complex development activities that may require extensive analysis in areas including cloud deployment and maintenance, as well as distributed system maintenance and scalingUse best practices and evangelize through RFCs and mentoringHelp scale our processes (release, development environments, CI/CD pipelines)Root cause investigation, automated release testing, production incident solvingWork independently with minimal supervision, occasional planning and mentoring responsibilitiesMinimum Education/Certification Requirements and ExperienceSoftware development certification3 years experience, including managing complex platforms that leverage the kubernetes technologyAdvanced troubleshooting skillsPreferred Qualifications and SkillsCurious to learn and test new technologiesDistributed systems design and operation (kubernetes, pulumi, rabbitmq, redis)Scripting (bash)Programming (typescript, python)Passion for crafting robust and efficient codeTop-notch communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work collaboratively in a geographically distributed teamAt Ansys, we know that changing the world takes vision, skill, and each other.
