SonySony announced major corporate changes, promoting Hiroki Totoki to the top CEO position and Hideaki Nishino as the CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment. The new appointments will come into force on April 1.According to a recent report, Hiroki Totoki, who previously held the positions of Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer, will succeed the current CEO and Chairman, Kenichiro Yoshida. Yoshida will continue as Chairman.Hideaki Nishino has been elevated to the position of President and CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment. He will also remain the CEO of the Platform Business Group. Hermen Hulst will no longer be the co-CEO of SIE but will keep the position of CEO of the Studio Business Group and will lead the development, publishing, and business operations of SIEs first party-content, as Sony shared.I am incredibly honored and humbled to have been entrusted with the important role of President and CEO, shared Hiroki Totoki.
