If you have fond memories of slicing and dicing cyborgs in Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, then this upcoming game will surely take you back to that glorious era. Check out Tonin, a Unity-powered open-world sci-fi action game being developed by a Japanese Indie Developer known as Awesome with the help of their friends.Set in medieval Japan, the games main selling point is the ability to cut enemies and environmental objects such as trees and boulders into myriads of tiny pieces. You can also pull these objects closer to the player character and kick them after slicing, with the potential to damage enemies and directly affect gameplay if kicked in the correct direction.Additionally, the game features an anime-style ninja as its main protagonist, epic boss battles, stealth mechanics, and changing seasons, with the lush, green Summer and the yellow-red palette of Fall having already been showcased by Tonins developers.Recently, the team showcased Tonins cutting mechanic by demonstrating how you can cut bamboo in the game, and despite how it was perceived by the community, it wasnt intended as a jab at Assassins Creed Shadows and its bamboo-slicing tech recently shown by Stephen Totilo. My apologies. I dont mean to belittle AC in this post. As a creative person, I respect UBI and their team, the developer clarified.Going forward, Awesome aims to launch a Kickstarter campaign around May to support Tonins production. In the meantime, you can follow the developer on Twitter so as not to miss any future updates.Dont forget to join our80 Level Talent platformand ournew Discord server, follow us onInstagram,Twitter,LinkedIn,Telegram,TikTok, andThreads, where we share breakdowns, the latest news, awesome artworks, and more.Source link The post This Upcoming Game Features MGR: Revengeance-Style Slicing Mechanics appeared first on CG SHARES.
