Microsoft AI CEO Mustafa Suleyman writes onLinkedInthat the company is now making OpenAIs reasoning model o1 free to use for all users of Microsofts AI assistant Copilot.Microsoft calls the functionality itself Think Deeper. The o1 model spends more time (about 30 seconds) considering the instructions it receives from several different angles and perspectives, then delivers a more comprehensive response than most genAI tools.Previously, interested users had to pay at least $20 per month to gain access to the o1 model via one of Open AIs ChatGPT subscriptions. Think Deeper has also been available as a preview in Copilot Labs, also only for paying Copilot Pro users.
