Warner Bros. GamesYou might know MultiVersus because of its closure and comeback in May, and Warner Bros. Games has another one for you. The company has announced that the games live service is coming to an end again.Season 5 will serve as the final update for MultiVersus, beginning 4th February and ending 30th May 2025. After season 5 ends, players will be able to enjoy the game offline for the foreseeable future, its X/Twitter post says. All online features will continue to be available until Season 5 concludes on May 30 at 9 a.m. PDT. At that point, there will be an option to play MultiVersus offline via the local gameplay mode, either solo against A.I. opponents or with up to three friends, the creators explained. As of today, January 31, real money transactions will no longer be available for MultiVersus, which means you can no longer purchase Gleamium, but you can still use remaining Gleamium or character tokens to access in-game content until Season 5 ends on May 30 at 9 a.m. PDT. Additionally, when Season 5 finishes, the game will no longer be available to download via the PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, Steam, or Epic Games Store. No one knows how long that foreseeable future will last, but players are understandably unhappy, especially those who paid $100 for the Founders Pack expecting 30 character tokens and 2,500 Gleamium but left disappointed. As one player noted, there will be 35 characters in the roster with Aquaman and Lola Bunny, which should save Warner Bros. Games from refunds legally, but the fact is people will have unused tokens lying around.23 characters were already unlocked before purchasing Premium Founders. They still charged despite that. Means they promised the purchaser that they would be able to use all 30 of those tokens knowing that they bought it even after unlocking everything that was released at that moment, a Redditor said.Im sure the company protected itself from legal action, so while players feel scammed, I doubt theyll get their money back. Most importantly, we want to thank every player and person who has ever played or supported MultiVersus. All of us on the Player First Games and Warner Bros. Games teams have poured our heart and soul into this game. We will be forever grateful for the incredible support of the MultiVersus community throughout this journey, the MultiVersus team said. What do you think about the games rapid demise?
