EA has been throwing the weight of multiple studios at the next instalment in theBattlefieldfranchise for a few years now, and it seems like well be seeing the final result not long from now. At the companys recent quarterly fiscal call (via VGC), CEO Andrew Wilson suggested the same, confirming a release window for the first-person shooter.According to Wilson, the nextBattlefieldis set to launch in FY 2026, which will run from April 1, 2025 to March 31, 2026. Given the fact that most newBattlefieldreleases tend to target year-end release windows, that might suggest the next game in the series will launch sometime in the final months of the year.Sure enough, leaks claimed about a year ago that the game was targeting an October 2025 release, and it sounds like that might still be the plan behind-the-scenes.EA recently announced a new community testing program for the nextBattlefield, stating it wants the community to play a key role in the future of the franchise.
