The deck-building advice below will set you up to tackle the Expert difficulty, so you can breeze through the easier difficulties using the advice below. The decks in the Cresselia ex-event all use psychic-type Pokmon. Safe to say, well want to use a deck mainly comprised of dark-types to exploit the type weakness. Here are all the cards we used to build a deck:Darkai ex is an obvious choice if youre lucky enough to have it. It can easily eat away damage in the background with its Nightmare Aura ability and then be switched in to use its Dark Prism attack that has a base attack of 80 HP. Similarly, along these lines, Weavile ex (evolved from Sneasel) is another fancy choice. It synergizes well with Darkrai ex. Its move, Scratching Nails, has a base attack of 30 and it deals an additional 40 damage if the Pokmon youre attacking already has damage on it.Koffing and Weezing are also a fantastic way to go. The Cresselia decks rely on a lot of basic Pokmon like Raltz and Misdreavus that have 60 HP. Using the Gas Leak ability to poison it to do ten damage, and then using tackle with a base attack of 30 knocks em out before your computer opponent can set anything up.You dont need to overthink it. Poochyena and Mightyena are also solid evolutionary line here as well. Mightyenas Darkness Fang does 60 base damage and 90 damage with the type weakness.Pokmon Tool cards are going to be a major boon for you during this event. They essentially make all those less rare Pokmon a lot more formidable. The Giant Cape ups a Pokmons HP by 20 and the Rocky Helmet does 20 damage to the opponents Pokmon each time it attacks you. Both pair well with options like Weezing and Mightyena. The trainer cards Sabrina and Cyrus are also solid options since they allow you to force switches. They are especially helpful when paired with non-ex cards like Mightyena and Weezing. Weaker cards benefit from controlling the field a bit. They can either allow you to take on a weaker opponent, or stall until youre ready to face stronger cards Mismagius ex or Cresseilia ex.
