Four mentees will develop a body of work over the year-long programme, resulting in a group exhibition in 2026Apply before 28 February to be one of four mentees in a programme building a more progressive and representative architectural mediaMass Mentorship is a free, year-long programme offering four aspiring architectural photographers the opportunity to develop their practice, create a body of work to be exhibited in London in spring 2026 and participate in a series of classes and workshops led by acclaimed photographers and industry leaders in architectural culture. Applicants will need to commit one full day a month to attending the programme, as well as time to developing their own project. The programme will begin in March 2025.Open to applicants aged 2030 based in or near London and from underrepresented backgrounds in the creative industries, the Mass Mentorship programme aims to create a cultural shift in architectural photography so that the authorship of images used to understand cities reflect the diversity of communities that inhabit the built environment. Applicants do not need a professional background in photography or architecture, but must bring ambition and bold ideas and be able to realise a personal project to be part of the 2026 group exhibition.Four mentees will develop a body of work over the year-long programme, resulting in a group exhibition in 2026Credit:Luke ODonovan / Mass CollectiveSupported by a grant from the Marchus Trust, the four mentees will each receive a 750 project grant to develop their idea over the course of a year, culminating in a group exhibition in 2026.The group will also receive guest masterclasses from acclaimed architectural photographer Hlne Binet, CEO of Open City Manijeh Verghese, architectural photographer and filmmaker Jim Stephenson, founding director of the SALT communications agency Celeste Bolte, photographer and gallerist Gareth Gardner, and The Architectural Review.Applicants must supply a creative portfolio of up to 10MB including but not limited to photographic work, as well as a brief idea for an architectural photography project to be developed over the year of the mentorship.Mass is an architectural photography collective based in East London led by Francesco Russo, Henry Woide, Luca Piffaretti and Luke ODonovan.
