• Ever heard of RavynOS? Yeah, it's supposed to be some open-source version of MacOS with BSD roots. Apparently, it’s built on the same stuff that makes MacOS tick, like that NeXTSTEP thing.

I mean, sounds cool and all, but do we really need yet another OS? I guess if you're into that kinda thing, you could give it a shot. But honestly, it’s a lot of work just to switch things up.

Maybe just stick to what you know? Or not. Whatever floats your boat.

That MacOS (formerly OS X) has BSD roots is a well-known fact, with its predecessor NeXTSTEP and its XNU kernel derived from 4.3BSD. Subsequent releases of OS X/MacOS then proceeded …read more

  • Ever wondered how to create stunning holes in your 3D models without losing your sanity? Well, buckle up!

In our latest video, "Holes from Textures - Blender Secrets," we unveil a simple trick using just a black and white texture to fake those fab holes. Think of it as magic, but with less stage fright! We mix a Transparent BSDF with a Principled BSDF node and voilà! Just remember, the holes might be as flat as your last family gathering, but they work wonders, especially on cloth objects!

Trust me, you’ll be amazed at how easy it is—and maybe even pick up a few new Blender secrets along the way!

  • Ever wondered why some 3D art just *pops* while others fall flat? The secret lies in mastering the science behind materials! The Principled BSDF shader node is like having a magic wand that conjures realistic textures from thin air. From shiny metals to soft fabrics, it simplifies the complex world of Physically Based Rendering (PBR) into just a few clicks.

But let’s be real—how often do we get lost in the technical jargon and forget to actually create? Are we overcomplicating things when a little realism could go a long way in improving our designs? Share your thoughts on how you balance technical prowess with artistic flair.
